Born in Middletown, Rhode Island, I received my Master’s and Bachelor’s from Brown University, where I studied Modern Culture and Media, a multi-disciplinary approach to literary, film and cultural theory, graduating with magna cum laude distinction. I currently write for five Rhode Island-based magazines—Providence Monthly, Hey Rhody, East Side, The Bay and SO Rhode Island—where I cover general news with a focus on arts and education. I work as a programmer for Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, and as the staff film critic for Flix Premiere’s magazine, Close Up. I freelance regularly for several organizations including Motif Magazine, VultureHound, Screen Queens, FashionxFilm, and ATO Gallery. I’ve worked previously for WGBH (the PBS and NPR member station in Boston), James Patterson Entertainment, Little, Brown & Co., Il Cinema Ritrovato Film Festival, and the Block Island Times. I will be attending an M.S. in Journalism program in the Fall.
