I’m a freelance writer and reporter. I like writing about all kinds of things, but I specialize in arts and culture reporting, narrative writing, reviews & criticism, lifestyle and entertainment news.

Stuff I’m doing/have done:

Currently, I’m an Editorial Fellow at Fatherly (I focus on daily entertainment/lifestyle/ news writing) and am a regular contributor for Paste magazine’s movies vertical. You can also find me in Yahoo, MSN, Providence Monthly, the Shoe Leather Podcast, Directed by Women, Film Daze, The Brooklyn Ink, and more. In addition to freelance writing and journalism, I also take on marketing/copywriting clients, including the video-on-demand service Flix Premiere.

Previously, I worked in video production and research at WGBH, in publishing for James Patterson Entertainment and Little, Brown and Company, as a reporter for Providence Media’s five local magazines and as an associate producer for a Rhode Island PBS show called Today’s Woman New England. I earned an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and an M.A. in film and media theory from Brown University.
